Commissions - open

Choose from my extensive catalogue of painting designs and I will bring your own custom-size piece to life.
Here’s how it works:
Step 1: Choose the painting name from my extensive portfolio that you would like your commission based on (browse my Instagram @discoverrosie for the most comprehensive list).
Step 2: Choose your custom size (commission will be same orientation e.g landscape/portrait)
Step 3: Email sales@discoverrosie.com for a pricing quote.
Step 4: If you would like to book in, you’ll be able to pay via my website.
Step 5: Your stretched canvas (approx 36-40mm depth) will be custom-made by my master framer.
Step 6: I’ll create the painting based on your chosen design and send photos before I finish.
Step 7: After varnishing, your commission will be shipped. Free worldwide packing, DHL Express shipping and duties pre-paid. Large sizes shipped in wooden art crates. All sizes ready-to-hang but no extra framing. Signed by me, dated and named ‘commission’ on back.
Standard completion time from purchase to shipping: 8-12 weeks (subject to materials).
If the chosen portfolio painting includes texture, the commissioned piece will also include texture. If it has no texture, you can leave it un-textured or request some to be put in.
If you’d like to add an element, I can lightly adapt designs where possible as I work. But please know, as an intuitive painter, I don’t digitally design my paintings before I start so you won’t be able to pre-approve plans.
This commission process is best for:
Collectors looking for medium, large and XL paintings who love the spirit of a piece more than the specifics. It’s perfect if you’re drawn to a certain painting design from my extensive portfolio and feel happy that your new artwork will stand as its own unique version. Your commissioned painting will have its own natural quirks but look similar in layout and colour-scheme to the chosen portfolio piece, whatever size you choose (not a replica). I normally just go with the flow and stop when I think the painting looks its best! You get to sit back while I use my creativity and vision to bring new worlds to life.
Why I’ve chosen this method:
My favourite part of being an artist is coming up with interesting, unique painting ideas and now I have a lot! So much of my design process happens on-the-spot from instinct and playing around rather than drawing out a rigid plan beforehand. This new portfolio-based commission method allows you to have a good grasp on what the artwork will look like before you buy, but still leaves room for me to have fun.
